The Darkness Knew What Night It Was
We drape lights over Christmas and call it peace, but the first Christmas was anything but peaceful. Christ’s birth disrupted the power that darkness had over the world.
Jesus did not come as a symbol. He came as Truth embodied. “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” John 1:5 (NIV). That is a declaration of authority. Light does not coexist with darkness. It exposes it.
That first Christmas brought more than peace on earth, goodwill toward men—it was God sending the Light into the world to free mankind from the power of darkness.
A Lightbearer is not called to decorate the dark, but to stand in it without compromise. Not louder. Not shinier. Just faithful. Anchored in Truth, so God’s light shines through us to reach those still controled by darkness.
This Christmas, don’t ask how to make the season brighter. Ask where God has placed you as the light. Because the dark still knows what night it is—and it still knows when Light shows up.
Lightbearers don’t decorate the darkness, they stand in the Truth.
